Our skiing trip to St. Anton in Austria

From 14th to 20th March the forms 7a, 7b and 7e went on a class trip to St. Anton from Saturday to Friday. On Saturday at 7.20am students and teachers met at the bus station. Our teachers were: Mr Wörner, Ms Kreilmann, Mr Hanke, Ms Eller, Mr Hoffmanns, Mr Alegre, Mr Ott and Ms Jumpertz.
The ride took 10 hours – it was really boring.
At the hostel we had dinner and after that we got our rooms. In my room there were 10 girls: Kira, Sophie, Lili, Lynn, Karen, Helene, Caro, Celina, Franci and me. We were all very tired, so everybody slept at 11:30pm.
On the next morning we got up at 6.45am. We got dressed and packed our bags for the day. After that we had breakfast, got our skis and went to the bus. Our teachers divided us in different groups. I was a ‚fox’. There were three other groups: the ‚rabbits’, the ‚eagles’ and the ‚ski slope pigs’. The ‚foxes’ were the second best group after the ‚ski slope pigs’. In my group there were eight children and our teacher was Mr Hanke.
The weather was very nice and sunny. And the teachers were very friendly and helpful.
I didn’t like the classification of the ski slopes. Some blue trails were very steep and some black trails were very easy. The ski slopes were very frozen in the morning, but after lunch the snow was too soft. You can say that we did ‚water skiing’.
On Tuesday we had a games night. Our room got only 7 points, but some others got more than 50! On the last night there was a talent contest. Our room won with the song ’Atemlos durch den Schnee’ . The refrain of the song is:

Atemlos durch den Schnee, alle rufen laut Juchee
Jolaha, jolahi - auf dem Berg da fährt man Ski.
Atemlos durch den Schnee, allen tun die Füße weh.
Was soll’s denn, wir sch***** drauf, wir fahrn auf den Berg hinauf!’

We were so happy and excited because the winners were the first to choose their seats in the bus for the trip back home.
On Friday we got up at 6.20am and went home to our families and our beds.
I think everybody had a great time in St. Anton. But I know that everyone is happy to be back home again.
